A CORRECTION AND APOLOGY

The editorial staff of the Public Opinion Quarterly wishes to express its regret that in the article ‘The ‘New Internationalism’ Under Attack’, by Stanley K. Bigman (POQ, Vol. 14, pp. 235–261, Summer, 1950), incorrect statements and implications were made concerning Mr. John B. Trevor, former president of the American Coalition.. The article was accepted in good faith as to its accuracy. Columbia University, on behalf of the Bureau of Applied Social Research, and the United World Federalists, Inc., sponsors of the study upon which the article was based, have both specifically apologized for the injury caused Mr. Trevor by the publication of the article and circulation of the longer report. We wish to join in this apology.
